We invest in community events and organizations that assist our neighbors.
As a community bank, we at BankFive are proud of our role as a partner investing in our Massachusetts and Rhode Island neighborhoods. If you’re part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization in need of financial assistance, we want to hear from you.
Our Focus Areas
We support and participate in local events and activities that benefit the following areas:
- Youth Education: Programs that support youth education, including financial literacy.
- Health and Social Services: Programs affecting youth and the elderly in our local community.
- Low to Moderate Income Citizens: Initiatives assisting low to moderate income individuals.
- Business and Economic Development: Programs that enhance business and economic growth.
- Arts and Culture: Activities that enrich the cultural landscape of our community.
Eligibility and Evaluation
Completed requests are carefully evaluated and considered by our Charitable Giving Committee. Please note the following:
- Committee Meetings: The Charitable Giving Committee meets once a month to review applications.
- Evaluation Period: A minimum of two months prior to the deadline is needed to evaluate and process incoming requests.
Geographic Eligibility
Your organization must operate in and provide services to at least one of the following communities:
- Bristol County, Massachusetts
- Barnstable County, Massachusetts
- Bristol County, Rhode Island
- Newport County, Rhode Island
- Washington County, Rhode Island
- Providence County, Rhode Island
- Kent County, Rhode Island
Application Process
To apply for a donation, please follow these steps:
- Download the Charitable Giving Program Request Form
- Prepare the Required Documents:
- A copy of your 501(c)(3) nonprofit status form.
- A copy of your taxpayer identification number (W-9 form).
- A brief cover letter on organizational letterhead providing all relevant information not included in the donation request form, including your mission statement.
- Sponsorship levels and ad specification materials, if applicable.
3. Submit Your Application: Email the completed form and required documents to charitable@bankfive.com.
