Fall River-based community bank, BankFive, and the Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts, Inc. (JA), today announced that BankFive Vice President, Risk Management and CRA Officer Sharon Macinnes, of Fall River, has been named as a Board Member of the regional non-profit whose mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in the global economy.

Sharon is a tremendous addition to our Board of Directors and we continue to be appreciative of our long-time community partnership with BankFive that helps Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts drive impact across the region.”
Macinnes has committed more than two decades to promoting financial literacy through her involvement with JA of Southern Massachusetts. She was previously named as the 2023 recipient of the John S. Brayton Community Service Award by One Southcoast Chamber of Commerce because of her dedicated involvement with several community organizations, including JA, Coastline Elderly Services, the Salvation Army, and United Way of Greater Fall River.

Macinnes is a Fall River resident and 20-year veteran of BankFive began her career as a Teller, and moved up the ranks to Assistant Branch Manager to her current role as Vice President, Risk Management and CRA Officer. She is a graduate from the New England School for Financial Studies at Babson College.
