We are so excited to expand our BankFive family into Cape Cod. Leading the charge of our new Hyannis location is Charlie DeSimone. Charlie joined the BankFive team in December of 2020 as First Vice President, Commercial Lender, and was promoted to Senior Vice President in July 2021. He started his career in Yarmouth Port with The First National Bank of Boston and more recently with several local banks, including Bank of Cape Cod, until they were acquired by a larger off-Cape Bank. Charlie is a true expert in the Cape’s commercial lending market - which many of his customers will reiterate.
Although you may find him enjoying the Cape Cod beaches in the summer months, Charlie takes pride in creating meaningful relationships with his commercial customers. By helping the businesses in his backyard obtain the financing they need, Charlie is committed to seeing the Cape Cod economy grow and flourish.
Growing up on Cape Cod, Charlie has a deep connection to the area which is evident through his community involvement. He is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Cape Cod Challenger Club, a local non-profit organization involved in providing activities for those with disabilities. Charlie is also a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program and formerly served as a member of the Loan Committee of SEED Corp and on the Board of Directors for Coastal Community Capital.
He is a graduate of Bentley University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina. We’re glad Charlie stuck to his roots and came back to Massachusetts after earning his graduate degree!
