Help us in congratulating Deidre Fountain on her recent milestone anniversary: 20 years of service with BankFive!
Deidre started her BankFive journey as a HR Officer and AVP Human Resources. Currently, as a VP, Human Resources, her responsibilities include acting as an employee advocate while providing leadership and guidance to management. Deidre also coordinates the bank’s talent acquisition, oversees training and development, ensures the HR Department’s compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, and assists with any questions that employees may have.
A resident of Lakeville, Deidre is a graduate from Saint Anselm College. She obtained her Master’s degree from Bridgewater State College. She also received her Certificate in Advanced HR Management from the University Of Wisconsin School Of Banking. Besides work, Deidre keeps herself busy by being a Board Member for Stepping Stone Incorporated, volunteering for the Community Boating Center, and is a team member for Therapy Dogs International. She is also affiliated with the Southcoast HR council, New England HR Association, and Society of HR Management.
Outside of work, Deidre likes to go sailing and travel. She has been to all 50 states. She also a weekend puppy raiser for The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. Deidre says that if life had sent her on a different career path, she would likely be a Clinical Research Nurse, but we here at BankFive are very happy that she ended up choosing a long career in banking instead. When asked what has kept her at BankFive for all these years, Deidre says, “The employees really are a big family. We truly care about one another, even when we disagree. BankFive is really part of the community and supports employees in volunteering to help our neighbors.”
