1.) The customer receives a text message purporting to be from BankFive asking them to verify a charge by responding "Yes" or "No".
2.) After the customer responds, they receive a phone call from someone purporting to be from BankFive, asking them for their BankFive online banking username, password, and/or security code.
3.) In some cases, the customer receives a second text message asking them to provide their online banking username to "enhance account security".
Please be aware that BankFive will never contact you and request sensitive information such as your online banking username, password, security code, social security number, or account number. If you receive a phone call, text message, or email from someone claiming to be BankFive requesting this type of information, please hang up or refrain from responding. Instead, please contact us via one of our official communication channels to report the message. Remember to never provide your online banking credentials, account information, or personal information in response to an unsolicited communication.
