Help us in congratulating Gregory Medeiros on his recent milestone anniversary with BankFive!
Greg started his journey with BankFive 30 years ago as a Teller. From there, he advanced through many roles at the bank, including Loan Servicing Tax Clerk, Branch Manager, and Credit Manager. In his current position as First Vice President, Credit Administration, Greg is responsible for the bank’s commercial credit underwriting.
A resident of Fall River, Greg is a graduate of Bristol Community College and the New England School for Financial Studies, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the New England College of Business. He is also involved with many local organizations. Greg volunteers his time with Junior Achievement, Foster Care Review, and the United Way, and serves as a board member for the Fall River Salvation Army, Leadership SouthCoast, and Greater Fall River RE-Creation. He is also an area board member for the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families.
Greg’s commitment to the Southcoast community has earned him some well-deserved recognition as well. He was a 2017 nominee for Leadership SouthCoast’s Distinguished Alumni Award, and he received the John S. Brayton Jr. Outstanding Community Service Award from the Bristol County Chamber of Commerce in 2017.
When Greg isn’t busy leading the bank’s Credit Administration team, or volunteering in the local community, you’ll likely find him doing something fitness related. He’s been a partner in the Fall River Fitness Challenge for the past 8 years and is a certified group fitness instructor. He’s also the owner and trainer of Fitness Fusion.
If life had sent him on a different career path, Greg says he would likely be a math teacher, but luckily for us, he has chosen a long career with BankFive. When asked what has kept him at BankFive all these years, Greg says, “my co-workers are amazing and the Bank’s commitment to its community through encouraging volunteerism is outstanding.”
